Korumburra Community Resilience and Emergency Plan

  • Get in the know

Understand what emergencies have impacted Korumburra in the past, and what are the types of emergencies most likely to impact us in the future?

Over the years we’ve had storms, bushfires, flooding, earthquakes - knowing what has happened in the past can help us in the next emergency.

  • Get Connected

Get to know and grow your community. Identify support networks and those who might need your help.

    Join community groups
    Get to know your neighbours
    Know what services are available
    Know where to find information

  • Get Organised

Download apps to ensure you have reliable information, have a plan for you and your pets before an emergency arrives.

Pack your emergency kit – have your own food, water, medication, cash and other essential supplies to be able to look after yourself and your family for at least 72 Hours.

A plan for the community created by our community

This resilience and emergency plan was created by a collaboration between the Korumburra Staying Strong group, Milpara Community House, Korumburra Community Hub, KCDA, KRT and South Gippsland Shire Council.

We also conducted a community event with emergency services where we invited the community to review and contribute to this plan. Photographs of this well attended event accompany this page.

Stay safe everyone!
