The Korumburra Community Direction Statement (2026) was launched on March 14 , 2026. The CDS document is the collation of 3.5 years of gathering information from our community.
This was initiated through a partnership between Korumburra Community Development Association with korumburra Staying Strong who undertook various workshops, and gatherings which brought together The Korumburrra community.
Thanks to Korumburra Lions Club and Korumburra Round Table for their input.
You’ll see what we have achieved as a community within The Korumburra Community Direction Statement. This will also lay out some directions focusing on what our community’s priorities look like for the future.
Please read the final Korumburra Community Directions Statement that has allowed this shared vision for Korumburra come to life.
Korumburra Staying Strong Groups work was finalized on 14 March 2026 on completion and delivery to our community of the Community Direction Statement.
Please note: the direction statement (KCDS) is a guide moving forward and Korumburra Community Development Association its committee and members prioritize the importance that it communicates with the rate payers, residents, and business owners of Korumburra for accurate and clear information around community concerns and decisions regarding its townships future.
Several projects from previous community discussion are already moving forward:
Railway precinct development
Better signage for caravan parking
Improve Coal Creek as a destination
New Tennis Clubrooms
Providing a continued passion for high-quality aged care
The Korumburra Directions Statement reflects community conversations at a point in time.
As our community continues to evolve, so too will our priorities and aspirations.
The ideas presented here are not prescriptive but offer potential pathways that community members and groups might choose to explore.
Some may become reality through community action, some through partnership with government or other organisations, and some may evolve into different initiatives all together.
What remains constant is the spirit of community engagement and collaboration that has shaped Korumburra’s development over many years.
By continuing to work together, listen to diverse perspectives and build on our strengths, we can create a future that reflects our shared values while respecting our differences.
